The Bioamazonía Network concluded its first week at COP30 with the panel «Paths towards Pan-Amazonian Science» and the launch of its first collaborative publication, a significant moment that celebrated the strength of regional scientific cooperation. The event was attended by Colombia's Vice Minister of Environment, Tatiana Roa.

The publication «Paths Towards Pan-Amazonian Science,» edited by INPA, with the support of the Always Amazon Program, coordinated by the Inter-American Development Bank, and illustrated by Amazonian artist HADNA ABREU, consolidates conceptual notes developed by researchers and specialists from the Network around four fundamental axes: Bioeconomy; Knowledge Systems and Local Governance; Biodiversity Knowledge and Management; and Conflicts and Threats. The document expresses a shared vision, built from a truly Pan-Amazonian perspective, integrating experiences, data, and years of research developed by the institutes in the different territories of the region.

During the panel, the directors highlighted that the Bioamazonía Network has consolidated itself as a meeting point for Amazonian science, bringing together South American institutions that share knowledge from the continent itself. Beyond producing science in the form of publications, the Network positions itself as a space for learning, interaction, and mobilization for transformation, articulating governments, communities, and institutional actors.

The capillarity and collective strength of the Network were also highlighted, capable of integrating data, knowledge, and experiences accumulated over decades of research, expanding the reach of each institute and strengthening local processes.

It was an inspiring and significant closing for the Network, marking another step in its work of building collaborative solutions for the Amazon.
