Welcome to
Red Bioamazonia
Biodiversity Research and Innovation Institutes.
The Bioamazon Network is a regional platform that brings together 8 research institutes from 5 countries in the Amazon biome, comprising over 1,000 researchers. Its mission is to strengthen capacities, generate and share knowledge on the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, and develop solutions and technologies for the Amazonian bioeconomy.
About the Network
Our strategic themes
The Bioamazonía Network is an initiative born from the consensus that cooperation and collective action are fundamental to addressing the social, economic, and environmental challenges of the Amazon biome. The Bioamazonía Network is supported technically and financially by the Amazonia Always Program, coordinated by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
